The top 10 best hotel in the world listed based on reviews from world reviewer.
1. Amansara, Thailand
2. The George V Hotel, France
1. Amansara, Thailand
Another luxury hotel with a chequered history in the Cambodian Kingdom. This one, built by French architect Laurent Mondet and completed in 1962 as a guest-house where Prince Sihanouk, then King of Cambodia, accommodated his diplomatic and celebrity guest overflow. The property, now an Aman home-style resort, is the epitome of swinging sixties pool-party cool. It’s all so unexpected but only too welcome in the tropical Angkor heat.
2. The George V Hotel, France
Arguably the finest hotel in Paris, and one of the best in the world, this hotel, run by the Four Seasons Group, is effortlessly run with tip-top service. The rooms are in typical Four Seasons style but then that's the attraction - you know what you are getting. The George V has the added bonus of a spectacular dining experience, a great spa, and one of the largest flower budgets of any hotel in the world. The flower arrangements are works of art.
3. The Datai Hotel Langkawi, Malaysia
A stunning and secluded retreat on the Malaysian island of Langkawi. Great for that total escape, the Datai does not come cheap. The hotel is perched on a hill overlooking the Andaman Sea, surrounded by virgin rainforest. Service is top notch, as are the stylish accommodations - a neat mix of colonial and native architecture, with open air pavilions and spa treatment centres that ensures your treatments are watched over by chattering monkeys in the nearby canopy. Stunning sunsets, an icing sugar beach and non-stop room service make this a great retreat.
